Developing Design Strategies for Climate Change and Urban Heat in Kampung Communities
Thermopolis 3 is an intensive 7-days Architecture & Design Bootcamp combining studio and field works. This program is dedicated to apply the knowledge and skills in designing adaptive architecture, architectural elements, and product designs that respond to the pressing challenges of climate change and urban heat islands in kampung environment.
As urban heat islands continue to exacerbate local air temperature, in densely populated neighborhoods, cities are facing new challenges in creating livable spaces. This bootcamp will guide participants through hands-on experience, focusing on sustainable design practices that are both innovative and grounded in local context. Participants will work collaboratively to develop solutions that enhance thermal comfort, environmental sustainability, and elevate community resilience.
Engage in transformative learning, where theory meets practice, and design meets environmental responsibility. Participants will be granted honorarium and funding for individual projects.
